What Our Response Teams Do

Our response teams are there to deal with incidents quickly and calmly, supporting your stewards and static security when situations escalate. They assist with crowd movement, help prevent overcrowding in busy areas and can provide discrete support for VIPs, performers and key staff when required.

As part of their role, our response teams manage any necessary ejections and carry out lawful, professional person searches of both staff and members of the public at events. We also ensure we have appropriately trained female officers within our response teams to carry out searches of female staff and guests in a respectful and discreet manner.

When something happens, our teams gather clear evidence, record what took place and liaise with police, ambulance or fire crews where needed, so that issues are handled in a structured, professional way from start to finish.

All response officers are SIA-licensed, well-presented and fully briefed on your site layout, emergency procedures and event-specific requirements before the doors open.

How We Work: Our Security Response Process

We believe professional security starts long before the first guest arrives. That’s why we follow a clear, structured process for every event and contract.

Pre-Event Planning & Consultation

We start by getting a clear picture of your event – size, type, audience profile, venue layout, access points and any existing safety or emergency plans. This helps us understand where pressure points are likely to be and what you need from your security team on the day.

From there we design the security structure, advise on realistic staffing levels and team configuration, and carry out pre-site visits to identify risks and practical challenges. Where needed, we can also provide Health & Safety Plans and Method Statements tailored to your venue and licensing requirements.

On-Site Security Management & Control Room Presence

On events we manage, one of our own Security Managers is based in the control room to coordinate the response teams. You have a single point of contact for all security matters, and a direct link between your event management team and every officer on the ground.

Our manager oversees radio traffic, incident logging and coordination with your operations team and any emergency services on site, so that decisions about incidents, crowd movement and contingencies are made quickly and communicated clearly.

Response Teams on the Ground

Our response teams typically work in units of 6 to 8 officers, scaled up where the venue or crowd size demands it. Within those units, officers work in pairs to cover more ground while staying close enough for fast backup when needed.

Every officer carries a radio and at least one team member wears a body-worn camera, keeping the team in constant contact with each other and the control room. This structure lets us move quickly without losing control or communication, and helps ensure incidents are dealt with in line with your policies.

Evidence, Reporting & Post-Event Support

Our use of body-worn cameras and structured incident reporting means there is clear, time-stamped evidence of what happened, where, when and how our teams responded. This can support any follow-up with emergency services, insurers or other stakeholders.

After your event we can provide a concise incident summary, share our observations and make practical recommendations for future events, using the lessons learned to refine your security and crowd management plans.
